This year’s Bocce of the Beach at Low Tide event will be held on Saturday August 18, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. Registration will take place between 8:15 a.m.-8:50 a.m. and start around 9 a.m. The tournament will consist of 28 teams made up of four players each who will compete in good-fun to win the medals or a trophy. The event will include lunch and an array of over twenty antique cars!
The fundraiser is held by The Rumney Marsh Burying Ground Restoration Committee (RMBGRC). All proceeds from the event are generously put into the restoration of Rumney Marsh, a National Historic site.
With a number of repairs already made in the past seven years, the ongoing project will continue to restore any damage done to the site while maintaining the dignity of those who have passed away in the community.
This burial ground is home to many Revolutionary War heroes, Civil War soldiers and even unidentified slaves who are buried along the front wall.
Enjoy a fun day and help support the restoration of Revere’s history! For any additional information please contact us at (978) 807-0167
